How to spot the SEO Scammers
(News from the mobile)
Readers,
We have decided to do a series on "how to spot the SEO scammers". You will find more recently that your email inbox has been filling up with offers like; "get ranked #1, website review, submit your site to a 1000 search engines for $24.99, and your site does not rank in any of the major search engines".
Everyday I see this emails and decided to do a little research on how they operate and found out that must of them have a "robot" software meaning it will plug your domain (www.yoursite.com) into the system and spread your site to as many free directories as possible without having any relevance in mind. With this approach you will increase your "inbound links", site traffic will increase but at the same time your Google Ranking will fall off the charts because of the lack of relevance between your website content as opposed to those new sites linking to you. The increased site volume will consist of "non-leads" meaning because they are not industry specific.
Conclusion: If you do see an SEO company that is promising the world to you it typically would be considered as spam. With any aspect of Search Engine Optimization it is uncertain the final outcome of the work completed.
If you have any examples of a great scam email please feel free to send it to us.
Thanks for reading!
Take Care,
